On viewing this - dare I say, cleverly crafted - photo you might think I have oodles of time on my hands. But, let me assure you I don't. Life is happily (and somewhat frantically) busy these days and I'm loving that pace as we count down to some pretty big life changes around here. But with the Olympic opening ceremonies less than two days away, I took a moment of pause this morning to play with some yarn.
I don't typically (ever) publicly acknowledge my obsessive-compulsive love of the Olympics and sometimes I don't even acknowledge it to myself. I never really plan to watch any part of it, but every two years (gotta love the winter/summer split) Olympic fever hits me hard and I find myself tuning in every chance I can.
But this year, with the Games taking place on home soil (yes!), whether it be speed skating or biathlon or hockey (naturally, being that I'm a Canuck and all), I won't even fool myself into thinking it will pass me by. I will be watching for the next 18 days, yarn in hand, because, where there is an Olympiad, there is sure to be some Olympic-sized knitting.
