I'm not sure how I ended up with a dog who hates (hates!) to have his picture taken. Special cuddle moments have ended abruptly because Boomer saw the camera come out, sweet grins and looks have gone sideways because I held the camera up to my eye. And it saddens me so much because from the time I was a little girl I've been taking constant pictures of my dogs.
Hence my new training project "Turn my dog into a ham." I'm determined to turn Boomer into a camera hog... I want him to devour the camera (figuratively please!).... I want him forcing his way into pictures, I want belly-up pictures and cocked head pictures and super silly happy pictures.
And I'm going to bribe him with cheese to get them. From tonight's photo session only a few shots were somewhat in focus (he darts away like a fugitive), and getting the eye contact was even trickier... but, it's a start. My hope is that after a few sessions like this one, the camera will start to look like a big chunk of cheese to him.
If anyone has any tips... I sure would love to hear them...
